Shirley Dex, Professor of Longitudinal Social Research in Education at CLS, will speak at Queens College, Cambridge, on Friday 6th March, as part of a programme of talks called ‘The Credit Crunch: Gender Equality in Hard times’

Jennifer and Jeremy will be visiting CLS from 26th February to 4th March.

Jennifer Maggs has been awarded the title of CLS Research Associate and will be working with colleagues at CLS on raising co-funding for research on alcohol use and alcohol initiation using the cohort studies. Funds will be requested to supplement costs of assessing early alcohol use in the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS), and support data analyses examining antecedents and consequences of alcohol use across the life span in the MCS, British Cohort Study, and National Child Development Study.
