MCS5 Consultative Conference: Shaping the Age 11 Survey

News
26 July 2010

A successful consultative conference was held at the Institute of Education in 21st July 2010 to inform the content of the next sweep of the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS). The next sweep, taking place in 2012, will collect data from around 14,000 11-year olds in their final year of primary school.

Over 70 delegates from the scientific community, government departments and other stakeholders gathered to discuss the proposed content of the data collection instruments at the MCS5 survey.  Each of the study’s scientific advisory groups presented their proposals and invited comments and further suggestions from delegates.

For more information about the conference, including the presentations of the advisory groups, please visit: http://www.cls.ioe.ac.uk/mcs5

Further comments on these proposals and suggestions for content are invited until 31st August 2010.  Please send your suggestions to Mina Thompson (m.thompson@ioe.ac.uk).
