The fifth sweep of the Millennium Cohort Study is scheduled to take place in 2012 when the cohort children will be age 11. It is provisionally anticipated that the survey will include interviews with both parents (where co-resident), cognitive assessments and physical measurements of cohort members, a self-completion questionnaire for cohort members and a survey of class teachers.
We are seeking suggestions for questions to be included in the Age 11 Survey. If you have any suggestions, please send them, along with justification of their importance, and full references of any other surveys they have been used in and any research papers they have been published in to Mina Thompson.
We will be putting together working groups of experts to advise the CLS team on the content of the next survey. There will be a working group for each of the main areas of the survey along with one on survey methodology. If you would like to be on one of the working groups, please email Mina Thompson stating your area of interest/expertise and attaching a short CV. We are interested in experts at all stages of their career.
A consultative conference on the content of the Age 11 Survey will be convened by CLS in Summer 2010. This will be open to all.
