Lucy is a Professor of Paediatric Epidemiology at Swansea University Medical School and Study Country Lead for Generation New Era.

She has over 20 years of experience in using longitudinal cohort and linked data to explore how social and environmental factors impact the health and development of children and young people.

Her research particularly focuses on vulnerable populations, including children involved with social care services and those living in poverty or experiencing other forms of adversity.

Lucy has developed early childhood health measures for the Millennium Cohort Study, served as the Welsh Study Director for the Early Life Cohort Feasibility Study, and lead recent work to assess the feasibility of a new longitudinal study focused on children at risk of poor outcomes.
