So that’s it, we’ve reached the end of our look back at BCS70 through the eighties – the decade of curly perms and synthpop, Thatcher and JR Ewing.

Cohort members progressed through school, got a job or went to uni. Many threw away their learner plates, drove forwards into the future, and made a quick detour to Alton Towers for a special birthday party with BCS70 founder, Neville Butler. Along the way, they contributed valuable information to the study which would lead to important new discoveries in the years to come.

Next week we move on to the 1990s. But just before we say goodbye to the eighties, let’s take one last look at the decade in this short animation.
