Genotyped data and biological samples are available from all of CLS’s adult cohort studies: the 1958 National Child Development Study (NCDS), the 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70), Next Steps, and the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS).
Genetic data or access to stored biological samples can be requested via the CLS Data Access Committee. For specific information on the genetic data we have for each cohort and the quality control measures taken, please see our GitHub website (external site). In addition, the European Genome-Phenome Archive (EGA) provides access to NCDS genetic data (not linked to survey data) and MCS exome data.
The following stored biological samples are available for application:
Milk teeth were collected in MCS but are not yet available for application (further information is forthcoming). MCS2 (age 3) oral fluid was collected at age 3 (MCS2) but all samples are depleted and residues were destroyed.
