Accessing data via public data repositories
The vast majority of our data are publicly available through the UK Data Service, although there are a few specialised data available in other public data repositories.
Researchers in the UK and around the world can access data from our cohort studies free of charge. We have described the CLS data access strategy in our CLS Data Access Framework.
Access to research data varies depending on how we have de-identified and classified the data (CLS Data Classification Policy).
Most CLS research data are publicly available through public repositories, primarily theĀ UK Data Service. There are a few specialised data available in other public data repositories.
Data not publicly available via these public routes, and proposals for novel data linkages and data enhancements, can be requested directly from CLS.
The vast majority of our data are publicly available through the UK Data Service, although there are a few specialised data available in other public data repositories.
We make all our cohort study data available via the public data repositories wherever possible. However, access to certain data is governed internally by the CLS Data Access Committee (CLS DAC).
We are keen to explore ways to enrich our cohort studies and strengthen their value. Find out how to submit a proposal.
