The London Education Research Unit (LERU) invites you to an Innovative International Conference

Young People: Doing and Using Research to Change Schools and Communities, 18-19 May 2011

A conference for young researchers, policy-makers, professionals & practitioners, committed to engaging young people in decision-making

• Contributions from young researchers, from primary & secondary schools in England, Turkey and India, engaged in dynamic research

• Student-led workshops on research

• Input from leading academics in the field

School Contributors include: The Mulberry School for Girls, Columbia School, West Drayton and West Thornton Primary schools, and The Sawston Village and Bacon Colleges (England), Darussafaka Primary School (Turkey), and The Concerned for Working Children project (India).

Academic Contributors Include: Prof. Mary Kellett and Prof. Mick Waters

Programme

Day I – Open to all-primary & secondary schools and their pupils, and all others in the field

Day II – Follow up-for young researchers contributing to the conference, and others in the field

Conference Fee

Schools – £200 flat rate for 1 to 4 people before end March 2011, or £220 after, Day I only.

Others – £150 for Day I, £100 for Day II, and £250 for both days.

(The conference fee will support young researchers contributing from charities and organisations abroad)
