Terms and conditions for conference submissions

Contributors agree to abide by the following terms and conditions in their submissions to conferences organised by the UCL Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS). Personal information of contributors will be stored and managed in accordance with our privacy policy.

1.  General

1.1  The conference’s Programme Committee will decide to accept or reject a submission, and their decision is final.

1.2  All abstracts will be independently reviewed by at least two reviewers from the Programme Committee. Where reviewers cannot agree whether to accept or reject a submission, they will refer it to the Programme Committee Chair.

1.3  The online submission form will ask for the names and affiliations of all co-authors, but the Programme Committee will only contact the presenting author.

1.4  The language of the conference is English and all presentations should be in English.

1.5  CLS will notify submitting authors of the outcome of their submissions by email as soon as the review process has been completed (in Spring 2026). Authors should acknowledge receipt and act on any feedback from the reviewers in a timely fashion to ensure high-quality Conference Programme.

1.6  By making a submission, the presenting author warrants that they will attend the conference and present their submission if it is accepted, unless extenuating circumstances prevent them from doing so. It will be possible to change the named speaker to a co-author in such cases.

1.7  All presenters must register for the conference and pay the registration fee to secure their place in the programme. Presenters who do not register will not be included in the Programme.
