Birth Registration and Maternity Hospital Episode Data, 2001-2003
In collaboration with the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit at Oxford and the Institute if Child Health in London, CLS carried out an exercise to link Birth Registration records for all those who gave consent. This resulted in 16840 children matching. Linkage to Hospital Maternity Episode date resulted in 12418 children matching. The resulting dataset Birth Registration and Maternity Hospital Episode Data, 2001-2003 is available to download as SN5614.
Employment Histories
These dataset were compiled as a result of work done to improve the quality and consistency of the spells of employment collected for all main respondents of the NCDS and BCS. The information is based on data collected when the respondents were aged 24 (NCDS4), 33 (NCDS5) and 42 years (NCDS6) and BCS70 sweeps 5, 6 and 7. The work was undertaken as part of the Gender Equality Network Project (GeNet), co-ordinated at Cambridge University, with Professors Shirley Dex and Heather Joshi, which examined the occupational mobility of men and women over the life-course, using the retrospective employment histories.
