Shirley Dex, Professor of Longitudinal Research in Education at CLS, has been interviewed in a new book published by the Institute of Education. The book, Passion and Politics, examines the challenges facing academics writing for publication by interviewing well-known authors working in the area of educational and social research.
Drawing on insights gleaned from these interviews, Passion and Politics examines the following key themes:
• the journey to becoming a writer
• identities
• going about writing
• producing a text
• engaging in the process
• the politics of writing for publication
• writing, thinking and learning.
