The latest version of the National Child Development Study: Activity Histories (1974-2013) has been released at the UK Data Archive.
The updated longitudinal dataset contains data, where available, for all National Child Development Study (NCDS) cohort members’ work and non-work activities, lasting one month or more, from age 16 to age 55.
The data is based on responses to questions, about work and non-work activities, asked at each sweep from NCDS sweep 4 (aged 23) onwards.
The dataset includes data on activity type, start and end dates, duration, reason for leaving jobs and socio-economic codes associated with work activities.
This second edition of the National Child Development Study: Activity Histories updates the first edition deposited in May 2011 to include the latest NCDS wave, extending coverage to 2013.
The dataset is available to access now on the UK Data Archive: National Child Development Study: Activity Histories (1974-2013)
