Description

The Age 26 Sweep was the first adult follow-up of BCS70. A paper questionnaire was posted to cohort members covering: qualifications and training, employment, relationships, children, physical and mental health, drinking, smoking, voting, attitudes and values, life satisfaction.

Special features at age 26

Attitudes and values

The Age 26 Sweep sought cohort members’ views on a range of topics including gender equality, politics and unemployment.

Many of the same questions have been repeated in later sweeps of the study (at 30 and 42) and have also been included in NCDS (at 33 and 42), providing an opportunity to show that attitudes and values may change over time and between generations.
