Dr John Goldthorpe attended a conference in the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Berlin, on New Strategies for Reaching Social Equality in Education – An International Perspective. He presented a keynote address on Institutional Change and Social Class Inequalities in Educational Attainment: the British Experience since 1945. The conference received wide coverage in the German media.

Dr John Goldthorpe – who is a visiting professor in CLS – attended a conference in the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Berlin, under the auspices of the Federal Minister, Prof. Dr Annette Schavan, on New Strategies for Reaching Social Equality in Education – An International Perspective.

He presented a keynote address, based on work jointly with Dr Erzsebet Bukodi, on Institutional Change and Social Class Inequalities in Educational Attainment: the British Experience since 1945. The conference received wide coverage in the German media.
