Strong roots in the 2000s – an animated tour

21 January 2021

So, as we conclude our exploration of BCS70 in the 2000s, we take you on an animated tour from the start of the new millennium. It was a period of great change for the world, with the ‘Digital Age’ bringing innovation and new technology into homes and workplaces. This decade saw important changes in our cohort members’ lives as well, with children, promotions and new homes on the cards for many. Thanks to their contributions in our three surveys throughout this decade, we learned more about social mobility, the gender wage gap and basic skills, among many other insights.

Next week we move on to the last leg of our journey across 50 years of BCS70 over 50 weeks: the 2010s. But for now, please enjoy this trip down memory lane.
