Laura Gimeno

Laura is a Research Fellow at CLS. Her research is related to health and population ageing. She uses data from the British birth cohorts to better understand how health and the relationship between health and other social and economic outcomes has changed across generations.

In 2025, Laura was seconded to NHS England where she worked alongside the Strategy and Strategic Analysis teams on health and employment. She has also collaborated with the ECHILD team at UCL’s Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, using linked hospital and education data to explore changing relationships between health, mortality, health service use, and school absence.
