JD is an Associate Professor of Social Science and Policy in the Department of Education, Practice and Society, and an Honorary Research Associate at CLS. He conducts cohort study-based qualitative research, with particular focuses on identity, ageing, health and physical activity. He is currently Co-Investigator on a qualitative longitudinal study of cohort members’ experiences of, and perspectives on, long-COVID. This study is part of a larger NHIR-UKRI funded ‘Convalescence’ (Coronavirus post-acute long-term effects: constructing an evidence base) long-COVID project.
